Moose in New Zealand!
Did you know the moose were introduced to New Zealand in the very early 1900s? Your tamariki can tell you all sorts of things about their introduction to Fiordland.

Our little blue-tongued visitor
We had a visit this afternoon from a Blue-Tongue Skink. Josh's dad, Jono, bought Hades the skink in for us to see. Because he's been hibernating and hasn't eaten for a month, Jono and Josh held him to keep our fingers safe! Thank you Josh and Jono.
Mr Manser was much braver than Whaea Pip!

Cross country
Today we had our cross country - and what a success! Thanks for organising such a fun day, Mr Appleyard. Our competitive and fun races all went so well. Tokoeka class is full of great runners AND great supporters! Congratulations to everyone who participated so well, and to our cheerleading house captains. Well done, Kōwhai house, for your overall win!
To our wonderful whānau - thank you so much for coming if you were able to.
