Disco!
We are having a blast, what a fun afternoon. Tōtara Park school Home and School - you can sure organise a fantastic disco!

Tōtara Park kindergarten visit
Monica (the head teacher) at Tōtara Park kindergarten took some photos and emailed them to us of their visit today so we can post a blog about it! Thanks, Monica!
Tokoeka welcomed Tōtara Park kindergarten with a mihi whakatau, then the kindy tamariki performed some waiata for us. We taught the little tamariki some of the actions to the Matariki waiata followed by a story. This was such a good opportunity for us to practice our excellent leadership abilities, share our kapa haka skills, and demonstrate our lovely, gentle manner with the younger tamariki.
Thank you so much for visiting, Tōtara Park kindergarten. We can't wait to see you again soon!

Harold is here!
After Tokoeka class were superstars (yet again) hosting Tōtara Park kindergarten for some shared kapa haka today, we got to visit Harold in the Life Education bus. We talked about what things make a good leader, and you can see our list down below. We are looking forward to going back soon!

Matariki celebration with the whole kura
Tokoeka organised a Matariki celebration for the whole kura which happened today. Takutai, Ngahere and Maunga all came to the hall and got to make rememberance whetū (stars), pākau (kites), whetū-shaped fairy bread, and have their face painted. You might have seen a photo on Seesaw today of your tamariki at the photo booth, too. This amazing group of tamariki organised and ran the whole day - you are so clever Tokoeka class! 😄
Thank you, Trish, for all your help cutting out 300 whetū shapes from the bread (!), and our wonderful whānau who were able to make it!
