Today is a really special day for Tokoeka. We have been working all year on getting a macron on the o of Tōtara, as we know that it should have one, and WE DID IT!
Tōtara Park school
We wrote letters to so many people - Mr Webby and the Board of Trustess, the Mayor Wayne Guppy, the PM Jacinda Ardern, the Tōtara Park shops, and the Upper Hutt Leader. We got the go-ahead from Mr Webby and the Board of Trustees. That means that we successfully convinced our kura to put the macron over the o. Fingers crossed that the other people we wrote to are convinced too.
This puriri seedling was gifted to us by Sandra Alexander. We have cared for it since term 1 and found the perfect time to plant it. Sandra attended our planting too, which was really special. Thank you to our whānau and the kura for coming to support us.
